Since a young age, I have had a very close relationship with my body, feeling that my true language—if not my first, then my second—is movement and dance. I began my journey by studying ballet and contemporary dance for eight years. I then traveled the world, working with various dance companies, not only as a dancer but also as an instructor for both adults and children.
For the past four years, I have deeply resonated with the philosophy of Pilates, particularly the awareness it fosters around one's body and breath. Pilates combines elements of ballet—my core expertise—which allows me to explore a wide variety of creative variations within a simple workout. This blend gives me the freedom to create, enjoy, flow, and truly listen to my body. I’ve discovered that Pilates not only enhances physical discipline but also cultivates a calmer and more conscious approach to life. The mindful breathing and control that begin with the body naturally extend into other areas of daily life.
For me, Pilates represents harmony between two essential elements: the movement of the body and the awareness of breath. This synergy acts as a form of medicine for both the spirit and energy health.

I have always been a kinetic person, drawn to a wide range of activities—from swimming and tennis to jogging, ballet, skiing, and surfing. My first encounter with Pilates was through a YouTube video in 2006, but it wasn’t until I attended my first in-person class in 2017 that I truly fell in love—with my very first exhale! What I love most about Pilates is its versatility: it can be gentle and therapeutic for the spine or intense and targeted for specific muscles, but it’s never boring.
I also appreciate how it demands complete presence, engaging both body and mind. The concentration required to coordinate breath and movement leaves no room for distractions—no time to wonder, for instance, what to cook for dinner, haha!
I have been a dedicated student for over seven years, and as a perfectionist, I always sought to understand the "why" and "how" behind every exercise rather than just the "what." This curiosity led me to take the next step in 2023, when I became a certified instructor. Throughout my varied careers—whether as a teacher, makeup artist, or project manager—I’ve always enjoyed working with people, so becoming a Pilates instructor felt like a natural progression.
I firmly believe that everything we do in life builds on the skills we acquire along the way, bringing us to where we’re meant to be. Now, I’m thrilled to share my love for Pilates with those who join my classes. But fair warning: in my book, a great class leaves participants shaking by the end!
Alexandra Minghiuș
Under the guidance of Alexandra Minghiuș, we explore a form of movement that has the power to transform us physically, mentally, and spiritually. At the studio, we work with the reformer, either individually or in groups, through personalized exercises designed to help us understand and harness the potential of our bodies as valuable resources aligned with our personal goals.
Each day, you will observe your movement patterns and, through the exploration of new ones, consciously choose alternative approaches. This process not only frees your body but also releases recurring thoughts and emotions. Why? Because when we address the body, we also engage the mind and the nervous system.
Alexandra Minghiuș brings a rich and diverse background to her classes. Trained as a psychologist, she is also a certified aerobic and fitness instructor with accreditations recognized by Romania’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Labor, as well as European professional associations. Her expertise spans group workouts, including aerobics, functional training, step, and active dance, alongside 10 years of experience in personal training.
Adding Pilates apparatus training, such as the reformer and wunda chair, to her repertoire has further deepened her understanding of movement. These machines are specifically designed to stabilize and tone the entire body. The reformer, in particular, helps develop strong, flexible muscles while working the joints in depth. The results? A more resilient, well-coordinated, balanced, and flexible body.
